Cervical Screening Workshop
An active learning module activity for GPs.

SHFPACT would like to invite interested GPs to participate in the newly accredited Cervical Screening Workshop - new dates dates to be confirmed.
This course is accredited by the RACGP and attracts 40 Category 1 points.

Learning objectives of the workshop:

1. Acquire knowledge of the NHMRC Guidelines for Cervical screening

2. Explain the impact of new technology, HPV testing and HPV vaccination

3. Demonstrate competent Pap sampling technique in a clinical setting

4. Implement a Recall System for abnormal Pap results to enhance patient safety

5. Outline strategies to facilitate participation of underscreened populations

The workshop has 4 components:

1. Pre event activity

2. 3.5 hour structured learning activity

3. 3. Plus 2.5 hour clinical attachment in SHFPACT pap clinic OR submission of case study log for review.

4. Post event reflective activity.

The workshop will take place at the SHFPACT Clinical Training School, Level One, 28 University Avenue, Canberra

Registrations open at 8:15am.

Structured learning activity will be from 8:30am to 12:45pm.

Clinical attachment will be booked individually.

Cost:
$100 for interactive theory component and case study option
$100 for clinical attachment
