What is herpes?
Herpes is a skin condition caused by a common virus called the herpes simplex virus (HSV). There are two types of the herpes simplex virus: HSV 1 and HSV 2.
• HSV 1 causes almost all oral herpes (cold sores) and about half of genital herpes. Infection with HSV 1 tends to be milder and doesn’t usually require treatment.
• HSV 2 causes about half of genital herpes. It rarely causes oral herpes. Infection with HSV 2 is more likely to recur and need treatment, but it can also be mild. Both HSV types can have no symptoms, and many people with HSV do not know that they have...

SoSAFE! provides parents, carers, teachers, counsellors and other professionals with simple visual tools to enhance the training of social, socio-sexual and social safety skills. The explicit, rule-based format allows the learner to respond to situations, including intimate relationships, without having to make discretionary decisions, in response to their feelings or ‘early warning signs’.
Including Intersex: responding to issues affecting the educational experiences of intersex students in Australia is a new resource filling a gap in information and guidance about the needs and experiences of intersex people specifically for the school and education setting.
